1976

 In 1976, Intra Chairman
and CEO John Battista, Sr. founded the company in his
garage, with a Toolmaker grinding machine (circa 1945) borrowed from his
father-in-law. He was determined to be innovative and to produce quality work,
on-time, and at a competitive price.
Over the past 35 years, Intra has become a world leader in the Gauge & Measurement Industry.

2005
|
Intra acquired Siemens Measurement Systems (SMS); The acquisition added a significant product family to Intra as well as locations in Philadelphia, PA and the United Kingdom.
We continue to support all Moore Products & Siemens Measurement Systems products & software today.

2007
|
Intra acquired Fenn Engineering intellectual property and certain assets. Fenn Engineering was a United Kingdom based gauge and measurement company. Acquisition resulted in new valve seat geometry measurement technology.

2010
|
Intra acquired Air Gage Company intellectual property, work in process, certain capital assets and the transition of over 25 Air Gage employees.
The entire Air Gage business and engineering network is located at Intra headquarters, and all Air Gage standard product and existing designs remain supported by Intra.

Today
|
Intra is continuing to grow and expand our world leading technology. Our corporate acquisitions have resulted in further product offerings, advanced technology, and increased market share.
As for the old grinding machine, it was retired years ago. It now stands quietly in our lobby, reminding us that despite the growth of technology, it is on the factory floor — where hands get dirty — that we meet our customers' needs everyday.
